Why a 360?

I've just been thinking, although I own one the 360 is one of the worst consoles ever, it makes a terrible noise, which it shouldn't do, I have a nintendo 64 and that isn't as loud as the 360, it overheats and will just stop working, after 2 or 3 years, so you would have to spend another few hunderard $ on another or if you still have the warranty then you will have to wait so many weeks, no other console does this, and also the headsets you buy for it only last a few months, which they shouldn't do
but anyway my question is why do people buy one?
I bought one because of halo 3, no other reason

Ouch, so you're one of the 15% that has a bad 360 huh? Well, I'd try to
get a new one if I were you. If you do that and the 360 you get does
the same thing, you may need to switch to a different console,
preferably the PS3 even though it's very expensive. The Wii lacks what
hardcore gamers love (That is, assuming you're a hardcore gamer), so I
wouldn't get it even if there are some drawn-out adventure games on it.
PS3 is pure hardcore gamer, I know of almost no minigame compilations
on there.

my family doesnt have one.ask your mum if you can return it and get your money back.if you still got enough money,get a nintendo wii.your mum will agree because its the most healthiest or just play the nintendo 64.remember,that warrity lasts for 3 years.

P.S.i think the problem with your XB360 is the infamous red ring of death(total hardware failure)

Yo 360s rock! They have the best graphics, xbox live rocks! You can buy games fro cheaper prices!

Well I think most of the next generation consoles have all there
problems because I guess they do extra stuff that pushes them to the limit. And I don't think the 360 can be played too long or put in closed corners without it breaking, which could be another problem. Of course, there are always the defects as said.

Me, I stick to Nintendo and Sony. I had the first Xbox and have
played the 360, and really don't see the big whoop in them. Halo is overrated in my opinion and if not for the online ability, it would be a complete fail, and I really don't think that awesome online and great graphics should make a game "great". Although one game I thought was very nice was Left 4 Dead and would actually be willing to get the 360 for that, and maybe Banjo and Kazooie 3 (even though the makers and Microsoft completely ruined another classic game). Still, that's just how I feel about it, but I know we all have different opinions. In the end, I still think the the console in general is obviously great as well as the others. Everyone just has a different preference of course.

Nintendo suits the inner kid in me because of its varieties and stupid/fun games, with a few pretty extreme games.

Sony suits my bigger gamer side because I feel it provides a better gaming experience and offers more diverse video games than the 360.
